My husband and I spent our wedding day at Akwaaba Mansion and it was such a wonderful experience!! Randy greeted us unbelievable nicely and with such a hospitality! We rented the ballroom for a brunch in the morning and I can notbegin to describe how beautiful it was. And whenever we had a question or a problem, Randy made sure, that we found a solution. Without her, we would have had a hard time at making this day so special. The room was very nice and charming, and the guest lounge provides snacks and tea. When we come back to Brooklyn, we will make sure to stay at Akwaaba Mansion again.

The Akwaaba Mansion was a dream come true getaway with my friend and I. Randy was the most welcoming host possible, and we enjoyed her company greatly. Every detail was perfection, the African-inspired decor and furnishings were incredible, the food was amazing, and the room and bed were world-class. Can't wait to return soon to my new favourite b&b (and see Randy)!

This boutique hotel is full of charm, with a feel at home atmosphere. The service was professional yet warm and friendly. We only had an opportunity to eat breakfast which was well presented and delicious. This place should be on your bucket list the next time you visit New York City.

This is a beautiful place to stay on a beautiful block in Bed Stuy near lots of shops and cool restaurants. You can just feel the history all around you--in the building and in the clean and quiet neighborhood. The room is spacious, the bed is comfy, and they pay attention to all the little details--loved the lounge where you could have snacks, coffee, tea and water at all hours (which came in handy when I woke up hungry in the middle of the night). They made all kinds of accomodations for me for their delicious breakfast, making it early for me and also listening to my dietary needs. They even went out and got me decaf coffee pods! But by the far the best thing about this hotel is the innkeepers. They are two beautiful ladies with shining energy who make you feel warm and cared for. What a great experience! Highly recommend.

We had an amazing experience at the Akwaaba mansion in Brooklyn. Monique is such a hospitable host, and we really felt comfortable and at home during our entire stay. The breakfasts were all delicious, we took advantage of the common rooms to have some friends over for a drink, and we could have stayed in that bed all day. We will be back!

This was such a wonderful experience. The mansion is absolutely gorgeous! I felt like a cast member in Bridgerton! So much architectural history! And Randy, the Inn Keeper is truly a remarkable being! I will be visiting again!

My sister lives right down the street, so we gave the Akwaaba mansion a try and loved it! Monique was the absolute best - so sweet and welcoming. The room was large and beautiful. Breakfast was fantastic. We will absolutely be staying here again!
